State Vision News Service Udhampur, Dec. 2 Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai on Monday chaired a crucial meeting to review the progress of the ongoing special summary revision of the Panchayat Electoral Roll in the district. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh; Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Tanvir Wani; Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjit Singh Kotwal and all Block Development Officers. The DC took a comprehensive review from the BDOs regarding the progress achieved in the ongoing exercise. She emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency and adopting a proactive approach to maximize public participation. She directed the BDOs to engage Lambardars and Chowkidars in sensitizing the public about the revision process, thereby ensuring that no eligible voter is left behind. DC stressed the need for organizing special camps at the block level to facilitate the revision process. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting with line department officers to assess the physical and financial advancements recorded under the District Capex Budget 2024 2025. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh; PO Poshan Subash Dogra; Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Block Development Officers and other District Officers.
The DC took extensive review of progress achieved under the District Capex budget including Area Development Plan, Aspirational Block Development Programme, DDC, BDC, Untied and PRI grants within the district. The DC emphasized the need for expeditious completion of pending development works, directing Block Development Officers to ensure tendering process on time, focus on completion of pending works on mission mode start billing of completed works. The Executing agencies received instructions to adhere strictly to timelines, with an emphasis on conducting regular site visits to maintain uncompromised quality standards. Additionally, the DC took review progress achieved in PMAY G scheme, held detailed review from BDO s and directed to improve progress, take action against willful defaulters.
